Fashion Mirage

I started Morgan in the Making because I wanted to get into ELLE magazine (it worked!), but so far it has gotten me much further. Who knew rapping about fashion editors was my niche?

My schedule went like this: -Drive 5 hours to Savannah, Georgia from Greensboro, North Carolina. -Put on my black sequin dress, red blouse, Loeffler Randall for Target flats, and a big necklace. -Go to the 4:00 SCAD senior fashion show because the 8:00 was sold out. -Sneak backstage where I introduced myself to Jay Alexander, ANTM judge and runway coach. -Talked to the SCAD president about his great speech. -Introduced myself to fashion designer Chris Benz, took pictures. -Went vintage shopping where I bought and necklace, two belts, a notebook and some pencils. -Noticed Mickey Boardman and my idol Joe Zee tweeted they were there -Sprinted back to theatre. -Met Creative Director of ELLE, Joe Zee. He told me I looked cute, and that I should tweet him. -I started crying as ELLE.com Editorial Director Keith Pollock took our picture. -Waited outside the Manolo Blahnik exhibit where all the editors were. -Anne Slowey, ELLE fashion news director; Andrew Bevan, Teen VOGUE editor; Joe and Keith come out of the exhibit and walk by us. -Paper magazine Editorial Director, Mickey Boardman walks across the street I grab him to take a picture. -He introduces me to Editor-in-Cheif of Fashionista.com, Lauren Sherman and Editor of Racked.com, Danica Lo. -We chat for a few minutes while I cry (again) Mickey and Danica give me their cards -I make friends with the security gaurd of the exhibit. -He introduces us to the SCAD fashion director. -Everyone leaves to go inside for the 8:00 fashion show. -Andre Leon Talley pulls up and we run over to him. -I give him my letter and he tells me I look very cute. -He introduces me to Manolo Blahnik and he kisses me on the cheek. -Andre gives us tickets to the show. -Afterwards we see Joe again and he asks how we liked the show. -We enjoy the SCAD block party. -Go eat dinner afterwards and I watch all the editors walk by through the restaurant windows. -Go back to the hotel and I fall asleep watch Lady Gaga on SNL. BEST DAY EVER.
